The GDAA Co-chair Hanson Whyee described him as the most popular president in the history of Gbarzon District Association in the Americas (GDAA). Hon. Jerome Pour, affectionately referred to by his admirers as “JJ Dennis”, has served the GDAA for two terms. And he is now urging members of the GDAA to gird their loins as they ready themselves for the 2023 general and presidential elections of the Organization.
Although very popular with members of the organization, Hon. Pour is not expected to run for re-election. He intends to oversee a credible election that will bring a new corps of officers into power, comes 2023 elections.
The Next annual convention is slated to take place in North Daktoa, to be hosted by the North Dakota Chapter of GDAA. Here, in the last week of August, Gbarzonians from all over the United States, Canada, Mexico, and parts of the Americas will converged in Fargo, North Dakota for the election convention.
But for the National President, Hon. Pour, the road to elections can sometimes be unfriendly, and he warned all GDAA members to be mindful and work together, not attacking each other in the name of trying to win an election.
Delivering his speech at the 14th Annual National Convention of the Organization, Hon. Pour announced the establishment of two new chapters, saying, “Right now, we have two new chapters. The North Dakota Chapter is now part of the Union. The South Dakota Chapter is also now part of the union,” Hon. Pour said.
“The 2023 National Convention will be in Fargo, North Dakota,” he told the Convention. And with cheers and clapping from his listeners, he asserted, “I want to say thank you to the North Dakotans for accepting us at that convention.”
Hon. Pour said, since the North Dakota 2023 convention will be an elections convention, he urged the elections commission to come up with rules that all members, including candidates and voters will follow to see a free, fair and transparent elections of the Organization.
